A relaxing, rolling park with a tennis court, playground, public pool, bird exhibit and small petting zoo. Fun for all ages! Multiple locations for picnics and grill outs that can accommodate small or large groups.
Visited here with my father and 10 month old daughter while he was visiting from PA. The petting zoo is adorable and free. They do accept donations through a box in the barn and they 100% deserve it all the donations they get. My daughter loved watching the ducks swim around. You could tell all the animals are very loved and well taken care of!
Bever park is the best known hidden secret in Cedar Rapids. Check out Old McDonald's Farm for a mega-dose of local history. Beers, Lions... a Monkey House (no longer there, sadly) ?!? This park is large and well maintained. I don't know what other elements people look for in a park. It's located in a neighborhood well populated with children, so your little ones will make new friends?
Bever is a well maintained, beautiful park for walking, hiking, gathering, and playing. Old MacDonald's Farm is the best petting zoo around. The animals are tame and you can enter the pens to pet and even feed them. The only reason I did not give this park a five-star rating is because there is not a splash pad.
The farm was awesome. Our little one loved it. We will be going back later this year.
