Every time I visit CID I make it a point to eat at Riley's at least once or twice. I can't think of a better place to get breakfast or brunch. My favorites are the chicken and waffles or the "heartattack", which is a chicken fried steak on top of biscuits covered in gravy.
Usually pretty good food and the wait staff is great. Today my food was cold, not "sitting around under a heat lamp for a minute while the toast finished", but cold as in sitting on a counter for a long time. My hashbrowns wouldn't even melt room-temperature butter. My country fried steak wasn't even warm in the middle. I bet it had been sitting for at least 10 minutes waiting on our other orders. No excuse on a busy Sunday.
Awesome meal. Spacious party room, very nicely decorated.
Love the food! Large portions. Only downfall is sometimes the wait can be a while.
