This is the only hotel in Cedar Rapids we will be going to! This is the first pet friendly hotel that I have stayed in that was so nice! Our room is clean and large. All the staff we had contact with were super nice and helpful. It's also cheap!
I arrived on Nov 8th. The computers were acting up and I stood at the desk for 20mins. I read the reviews on line so I did take my own pillow. What disappointed me the most was the sad condition of the lobby. The entrance was very uninviting. The furniture was dark and very worn. Honestly, I was afraid to see my room. My room was clean and had a new shower/tub surround. The fan was very noisy. The heat was not on and took forever to get warm. There were no extra blankets. No coffee pot in room. That's my first experience with no coffee pot. They were vacuuming the hallways at 8:50 am. I was awake and getting ready to leave but what if I had been staying and wanted to sleep in. I have never heard anyone run a vacuum that early. I think that is usually done after people check out. Their breakfast is only waffles. No juice or anything else. The poorest breakfast I have ever experienced. The one plus for them was their desk staff.. They were very very friendly and helpful. I could overlook the breakfast and lobby and would probably stay there again.
Will be my go-to place in Cedar Rapids in the future.

I have stayed at other budget accommodations, the one's where you don't risk walking on the carpet without shoes or worried about getting bedbugs. However this place is not one of the.
Only downsides are that the pillows are small and a bit flat, and the sheets are a bit thin. Bed is comfy, flat panel tv, hot shower, and clean rooms.
This hotel is wonderful. It is a basic no frills place. My #1 priority is cleanliness and this hotel was exceptional. Comfy beds, soft towels, sink outside of shower/toilet room which is so convenient when you want to fix hair and makeup and the other person can still shower, etc. It had a fridge and microwave. Desk folks were friendly. Breakfast is hotel norm - waffles, toast, cereal, pastries, juices hot beverages. No eggs or bacon/sausage.
Hallways and room smelled of smoke. Stains on the couch and bed. And I know it's a budget hotel, but the breakfast was nothing but bread. Not a pleasant experience
I was very surprised with this facility and have stayed here on three separate occasions for work and each time has been good. I have read the negative reviews and cannot say I have experienced any of it. My room was clean, showed signs of recent updating, and staff was friendly. My first stay I kept my expectations low, but because of the positive experience, I scheduled two others.
