Switching our kids to Cedar Valley Christian School was one of the best decisions we've ever made. Both our boys have had much more success and more opportunity and experiences since starting at CVCS because of the smaller class size, the caring environment, the quality of the teachers and staff, and the school's willingness to work with parents. My kids are happy to go to school each morning, knowing they are going to a school where people care and will help them grow and learn. I also appreciate their patience and understanding when dealing with disorganized, hectic parents!
We have sent all our children to cedar valley and it is an amazing school - the children get that one on one attention they need. Our youngest son is still attending Cedar Valley and is always so excited about going to school.
Cedar Valley has provided a very positive environment for my kids in the areas of academics, athletics, and the arts. With the small class sizes, there is a lot of personal attention which has helped them succeed when struggling in certain areas. Great school with a great staff!
We chose to move our special needs son to Cedar Valley for his junior and senior years of high school. It was one of the best decisions we have ever made. He was challenged to do more and be more than he ever had been before. The faculty bent over backwards to help him succeed and put in extra planning hours just to accommodate him. The students loved on him everyday and even pooled their resources to buy him expensive Lego sets on his birthday each year. He is now 19 and still talks almost daily about his friends at Cedar Valley. A couple of the boys have stayed in touch with him and have taken him to movies and have come over for pizza. He is a different, better person because of the love he was shown by every single person in the school. They were truly Jesus with skin on. I cannot recommend Cedar Valley highly enough. The small class sizes and loving, safe atmosphere make it a great place for students with Asperger's, mild autism, Down Syndrome, and other developmental disabilities. Cedar Valley also provides a wonderful opportunity for neurotypical ("normal") kids to show compassion, patience, and love toward those who are different.
I attended CV from preschool to 12th grade! I was prepared for college; had great teachers in a Bible based environment! I loved the small class sizes. I built amazing relationships I still have to this day. I teach in a public school setting now, but my husband and I will definitely send our kids to a private and/or college preparatory school because of the results we received from this type of rigorous school environment! :)
