Do not ever go to Midas. Break line broke and charged $485.00 to fix. If I could of drove my truck somewhere else I would have. Told me I needed a new battery stupid asses my battery was brand new. Midas is the biggest rip off place. Will never go to another Midas again.
This place sold me tires, which are still under warranty. I went there to have them balance and rotate the tires, which them screwed up somehow, regardless they put a lugnut on crossthreaded, and powered it on with an airgun for sure. Needless to say when i went ahead do do the rotate by myself, i almost instantly broke that lug stud. Went there next day, and Bill the tattooed manager, is basically trying to not fix a 1.25 part.!! He was getting mad, and going out to shop to ask someone else about this. What is so hard about fixing what your employees basically broke?? And to be so rude about it, like i dont know what I'm talking about. I have worked on cars for only 32yrs, but what would i know?? Would be happy if his boss actually called back, guess i gotta go up the ladder a little higher. People are gonna be really pissed when all is said and done. Should have just fixed the lugstud!! Way easier. Won't ever go here again, wouldn't even recommend them to my ex- wife!
I got screwed out of over $700 with the mechanic who couldn't do exhaust work at all because he messed it up he told me he would make things right the following week free of charge I called back the following week it's going to cost me an extra $400 to fix his mess up I do not recommend Midas on Williams Boulevard Cedar Rapids Iowa they are a complete joke boubin Automotive on Blairs Ferry Road is my mechanic place to go to
Being prior military I have traveled all over the world along with the majority of the states. This Midas is by far the best mechanic shop I have visited. Bill is the current Manager and he is not only courteous, he is honest and a great conversationalist! Bill explains every situation along with multiple options. As I wait for my vehicle to be finished, which is never too long, I listen to Bill talk to other customers and he never pushes unnecessary maintenance or parts. Thank you Bill for being a person of your people and continuing to gain my trust and business. I always recommend you and your shop to everyone that has car trouble or just looking to upgrade to a better place!
They mess up your vehicle and then thwy dont want to take no responsibly for there so called mechanics mistake.
James is the lead mechanic at Midas. James is beyond experienced and lends a hand to all vehicles in the shop. James greets all customers with a handshake and a smile, and will explain any deficiencies he finds in great detail along with options he thinks are best to take. James is a one of a kind person with an amazing attitude! You can tell he loves his job and wants to make sure you feel fully serviced and not make you feel like a dollar sign.
