When we (wife, me) came in for a car stereo, we had to order the installation kit; understandable, given that there are probably hundreds of different dash kits. We had to come in multiple days to pick up different pieces of our orders though (or the order would be cancelled), and then we had to schedule installation after everything was received. When the installation guy wasn't in, no one else was able to help get that scheduled. I understand this is a very small portion of what an electronics store does nowadays, but I'm concerned that these inefficiencies are representative of how this store normally does business.
I recently just purchased a laptop here. At first I wasn't sure about the specs of certain laptops, or which would work best for my needs. As soon as I walked into the section with all the laptops, I was greeted right away by one of their computer experts. She then proceeded to grab me a specs sheet which was quite useful. After telling her what I was going to use my laptop for, she recommended a variety of options. She knew exactly what she was talking about which made the buying process for me easier and faster. I didn't really know what is was looking for so of course I had a boat load of questions. She was able to answered all of them in "English" instead of hardcore tech talk. This is a big store with tons of tech options to choose from and always full of helpful staff. Basically geek heavan.
Prices are decent though, and the store is clean.
This place has the ABSOLUTE WORST customer service by 99.9% of their employees. You can tell nobody inside that store cares about who walks through those doors...it’s awful!! I don’t know how anyone is able to say some actually walked up to them and asked if they needed help...every time I have gone in I have to go searching for someone and no one is even knowledgeable...they piss their pants like they’re asked an impossible question in front of the world to come up with an answer! This store is absolutely pathetic!
I came in knowing what I wanted, but an employee fairly relentlessly tried upselling me anyway.
I was having problems with a cell phone and the people at Best Buy went out of their way to help me. Their support was remarkable and at very point of difficulty they worked through all the way to the end. I was very impressed.
We purchased two Galaxy 8 phones through Best Buy and used an AT&T plan and had the best service we've ever had. We have always gone to the AT&T store in the past and I will never do that again. The service that we received from the individual who takes care of the AT&T customers was on a 11 on a scale from 1 to 10. He is by far one of the most knowledgeable people that I've ever encountered in this store and went above and beyond to help us. Both the Samsung specialist and the salesperson I'm speaking of who is and AT&T specialist Is the whole reason I went back and yet bought another phone instead of the state I live in. The manager of that area also went out of his way to help us Find a television that suited our needs.
